Rosen joins the staff from Marquette University where he was an assistant coach for two seasons. While at Marquette, Rosen was responsible for player identification, team training, individual training, video analysis and exchange. "I am very excited to have Jesse Rosen on staff," UWM head coach Jon Coleman said. "Jesse and I go back a long way and have a good understanding of each other. He will be a great addition to the program. He brings experience and a real love for the game and will help with recruiting and the everyday aspects. I am looking forward to the dynamics of the coaching staff." Rosen, considered one of the top youth coaches in the state, has won state championships at every level of soccer from U13 to 23. He comes to UWM after serving time as the Director of Coaching for the Bavarian Soccer Club of Milwaukee, one of the nation's oldest and most storied clubs. During this time he helped lead them to be recognized as one of the top clubs in the nation, coaching seven state championship teams, two state finalists and three Midwest Regional Championship semifinalists. In 2005, one of his teams won FC Milwaukee's 100th State Championship. Fifteen of Rosen's current and former players have been named to US Youth Regional teams and nine players have competed on youth or senior national teams representing the United States, Ireland and the Bahamas. A Milwaukee native, Rosen played collegiate soccer at the University of Hartford (Conn.) where his team set school records for wins in a season (17) and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament in 1996, achieving the team's highest final national ranking of 10th. He was named Team MVP his senior year and to the New England Schools Senior Bowl. Following his senior season, he was drafted as a forward by the Mississippi Beach Kings of the Eastern Indoor Soccer League.
